This morning I watched a couple episodes of akihabara@deep. I enjoyed it in that retarded way I enjoyed Gokusen 1, only this is less sappy. Ikuta Toma is in it as a germphobic nerd who is chronically afraid of women. He kills me. He vaguely reminds me of Shirota Yuu and I don't really know why. I always expect Toma to be quiet and soft spoken and shy but he never is. I think it's because the few clips of him I've really seen are from when he was young and blushy with Yamapi. So anyway, he's not quiet and soft spoken. He's fucking hilarious. The guy in the weird clothes just became part of the team. He's into cosplay. He makes me laugh uproariously. It'd be embarrassing, were anyone around to hear it.

I bought this book for my cousin's kid for Christmas without reading it. It's called Queenie: One Elephant's Story. I get it home and it turns out it's about an elephant that came to Melbourne Zoo in 1945 and ended up being killed after she crushed a keeper to death. True story. So I have to take the book back and replace it with a happy book about bears or something.

beardo sent me an email full of youtube links. I keep going to look at them and then staring at how many there are and giving up before I've even begun. I have no stamina for watching things on my desktop. I've had this paused in a tab at 16 seconds for literally like three days.

The fact that I was able to watch two episodes of akihabara in a row is a testament to how much I enjoyed it. I can't watch anything on my desktop.

I started watching akihabara@deep once! idk why I stopped, because I thought it was awesome. I forget his name but the one with social phobia that has to talk to people through his computer is possibly my ideal man. Toma reminds me of Shirota Yuu too. I think it's the nose.

I can never think of awesome personal questions because I'm never curious about stuff until someone else mentions something. Do you want any jpop crap bought back from Japan? I'm probably going to end up dragging my friend into so many music stores :(

dpofij dead, okay. Today I accidentally wandered into what I guess is the asian district of the city. I was impressed by how much stuff like that was available but I felt so out of place I couldn't bring myself walk into any of the stores :(

I GUESS SO I USUALLY DON'T WALK MORE THAN A BLOCK AWAY FROM ELIZABETH ST IN EITHER DIRECTION... my comfort zone... It was the area around Russell/Lt Bourke I think. I read about this store on

boys_paper that imports magazines on Russell so I decided to check it out while I was there. It's one of those places where you have to go through a tiny dark entrance in between two huge buildings then up 5 floors to reach. No one else was there. I just ended up standing awkwardly in the doorway staring at copy of Wink Up until I realised everything would be cheaper to get next week. That is, if I can overcome my fear of looking out of place long enough to leave the apartment.

I haven't decided yet! Probably Page/Box though I need to see more episodes to make an informed decision. Box is my favourite. I have so many episodes queued up in Azureus. Why are they so big. It's taking so long.

I'm always really pleased when something I download on a whim turns out to be awesome.

I hadn't been so excited about a show in a long time. I was haunting TV-Nihon's page, waiting for each new sub. I have kind of a thing for Akira/Daruma too.

I know you'll enjoy the rest of it and maybe even become a flaily mess like the rest of us did.

I think it's a safe bet. I became attached to the characters really quickly. It's nice to see tv nerds that I can like. The Otaku in Densha Otoko really irritated me. These guys are all cute and brave. And the show is hilarious. I'm really looking forward to watching more.

I love akihabara@deep an embarrassing amount. Page is my favorite thing ever.
